Southend Philharmonic Orchestra meets on Tuesdays at 7.45pm at ‘The Stables’ Leigh on Sea (map), Essex. Rehearsals are limited to term time with one Sunday afternoon rehearsal, usually on the Sunday before a concert in St Lawrence Church Hall, Eastwood.
The Orchestra is friendly and hard working and gives three concerts a year. New members are welcome especially in the string sections but vacancies do occur in other sections from time to time. There is no audition but a reasonable standard is needed.
